Art in Action at Anthropologie

Anthropologie’s Art in Action event is a combination of some of my favorite things: Anthropologie, art, community service, and alliteration. Anthropologie is having a silent auction to benefit the NYC Children’s Art Fund.

The NYC Children’s Art Fund (NYCCAF) is a New York City non-profit organization, “committed to supporting children in NYC through free education in the arts and creative disciplines.”  NYCCAF’s mission is, “to provide NYC kids access to creative mentors, who are local and who are established artists and proven to have successful careers in the arts. Every mentor volunteers their time to educate children of all ages in areas such as photography, music, mixed media, painting and digital design. Our intent is to guide these children into a prosperous and successful career in the arts.”  I have always been enamored by Anthropologie’s whimsical window displays. At the Art in Action event you can purchase one of the display paintings by Anthro’s visual artists. 100% of proceeds will benefit the NYC Children’s Art Fund.

Don’t live in the concrete jungle where dreams were made of**?  Fret not you can still click this link to donate to NYCCAF, “by donating to the NYC Children’s Art Fund, you will help pay for the supplies and space necessary to implement the art and mentoring programs across the city.”  If you are in NYC and want to volunteer, donate supplies, or discuss corporate scholarships email

I hope to see you tomorrow.
